<p><strong>“Khun Ice – Sarawat Kijpanit”</strong> from <strong>“Channel 8’s</strong> <strong>Lui Chon Khao</strong>,” starting out as a behind-the-scene staff and advancing into the roles of a field reporter and a news anchor with <strong>“Khun Puttha Apiwan,” </strong>a famous news anchor, today revealed his tips about how to work to succeed at a young age.</p>
<p><strong>His role as Channel 8’s news editor</strong></p>
<p>“Mainly, I focus on curating and monitoring news updates, including online, print, other TV channels of all the media outlets and platforms, as well as citizen journalists and netizens. My responsibilities also includes arranging and prioritizing news topics to feature in the program. Working on a news program, I always need to work under time constraints. No matter how, we need to submit work on time, that’s our duty and goal.”</p>
<p><strong>Highlights of Channel 8’s news program</strong></p>
<p>“In addition to the news program <strong>‘Lui Chon Khao,’</strong> Channel 8’s concept is <strong>‘Tee Nee Khong Jing’ or ‘Here’s the real deal.’</strong> Under the concept, <strong>Channel 8</strong> offers morning news, noon news, evening news and night news like <strong>Lui Chon Khao</strong>. All the programs will provide you with factual news covering situations and also including insights from the stories and investigation from top anchors. If you reach out to us, you will get everything you want to know.”</p>
<p><strong>What I’ve learned from working with Khun Puttha Apiwan</strong></p>
<p>“You may have heard about how <strong>Khun Puttha</strong> is quite fierce and serious. And yes, I can confirm that. He’s very serious when it comes to work. When we work with someone who’s serious at work, we will know right away that he’s has no bias on us. He’s only determined to achieve goals. Rather than teaching us everything step by step, <strong>Khun Puttha</strong> has a lot of ideas to let us learn on the job.”</p>
<p><strong>Growth factors that boost rapid development</strong></p>
<p>“I will set my goals, determine and devote myself to the job without any limitations. Even though there are some obstacles, I won’t give up and keep moving forward, while telling myself that <strong>‘I can do it.’</strong> I won’t expect the best results, but only focus on doing my best at that moment.”</p>
<p><strong>How should members of the press be like in 2023? </strong></p>
<p>“What’s important most is to stay true to the facts and to not take sides. We shouldn’t give too many personal opinions, as it will influence the audience. Some cases still remain under investigation and have not yet come to conclusion.”</p>
<p><strong>Suggestions for anyone who desires to work in the press</strong></p>
<p>“You should prepare yourselves as much as you can. You may start from experiencing working as an emcee or any related roles. Try to engage yourself with more experiences. Seize any opportunity that you can (because there may only be one chance to do so.) The one who gets them is the most prepared.”</p>
<p>“I know everyone does their best. Every day, reset your mindset so that you see all problems as life lessons that we need to learn and overcome them. You got this.”</p>

<p>Not only a COOLJ that plays good music for us via COOLfarenheit 93 on Monday-Friday but <strong>“COOLJ Nan Kanyada</strong> <strong>Srithammupathum</strong>,” the Queen of Positivity who always cheers everyone up throughout 24 years behind the microphone and shares working tips for working with all colleagues without any gap. She’s always ready to learn and <strong>“grow together with RS.”</strong></p>
<p><strong>I didn’t choose my career. Instead, the career selected me.</strong></p>
<p>“Why did I choose to be a COOLJ? I have to say I didn’t decide it myself, but the career chose me. At first, I was thinking about pursuing my master’s degree and work in the advertising industry, due to my passion in writing. While waiting for the first semester to start, I worked behind the scenes.  The host found my speaking skills outstanding and suggested me to apply for this position. They would like to find new faces of DJs with new voices without any experience. I found the opportunity just right to me and I needed to grab this; therefore, I decided to start my career as a DJ from then on. Two years later, <strong>Sert &#8211; Prasert Tantikkaveera</strong> asked me to join RS. Now, it’s been 24 years since I worked at <strong>COOLfahrenheit</strong>. Even though it seemed like a coincidence, I learned that listening, speaking, reading and writing skills all work together. Also, I got the chance to use all my favorite skills, not only writing but also speaking.</p>
<p><strong>From the first session to today’s session… what a difference!</strong></p>
<p>“In the past, I handled everything. I needed to arrive early to select the songs to play. Now, it’s the digital era where everything has totally changed. Ways of speaking, voice usage, program moderation, storytelling channels have all evolved. In the past, there were only newspapers and TVs. Currently, the internet is flooded with news and updates. Technology has changed everything.”</p>
<p><strong>Age and generation gap is not an obstacle, as I’m always hungry to learn new things.</strong></p>
<p>“It would be a lie if I said there is no generation gap at all. However, I need to reach out to young colleagues, though, as they might find it’s hard to do so. I, myself, have to reduce the gap. I always tell myself not to be an adult with ego or someone who is unable to work together with others. I often let my young coworkers teach me how to use social media, so they know that I’m always willing to learn. I’m not shy to ask anything, as I respect and trust others. If I did something wrong, I’m going to say sorry. My favorite three words are <strong>Hello, Thank You,</strong> and <strong>Sorry</strong>.”</p>

<p>“I think RS employees already have a positive attitude. If not, they couldn’t work at such a good place. Our company has excellent quality and provides opportunities for multifunctional work, which is an advantage like when you graduated from a quality school. <p><strong>Khun Sutthirak Manyakas</strong>, Supervisor Transport Management | Asset &amp; Facility Management, revealed: “I’ve been working here for 14 years. At first, I started out as a driver. However, 10 years ago, I had a serious health issue and had to have my leg amputated to stay alive. At the time, the company gave me a three-month leave of absence – one-month leave with pay and two months without pay. Once I resumed working, my boss offered me the chance to move from driver to transport manager. Also, all my colleagues gave me great support and greeted me in exactly the same way as before. I feel so blessed to be a staff of RS. Everyone is very nice to me, especially my coworkers who value and treat me fairly.”</p>
<p><strong>Khun Narupon Arjharn</strong>, Manager, News Content | Channel 8, said: “It’s been nine years that I’ve been working as an reporter of Channel 8, an occupation that has been my dream job since I was in school. Through this job, I met different people with various ages and careers. Working at RS equips me with essential skills and perspectives. I experienced changes all the time, which I considered as new opportunities to pursue success. In addition to the fact that my dream has come true, I’m grateful to become a part of RS family where I found a safe working space full of differences and diversity. No matter who we are, we appreciate those with abilities and grant everyone their own rights.</p>

By ‘thinking outside the box,’ we created challenging projects, namely Performance Management System (PMS) and Learning Center (e-Learning system), which are zero-budget projects. Despite challenges, everyone gets to learn along the journey to the goal.”</p>
<p>“<strong>Khun Ontida Komolpith</strong>,” Head of Brand Marketing &amp; Communications, added: “Once, I asked the CEO in which way I could possibly transform myself. ‘I can’t tell you, as we can grow in any ways that may be currently unknown to us,’ he replied. Three years later, his word became true. At first, I was responsible for brand marketing management at RS Mall and expanded my support to RS LiveWell and RS Connect. Later, I worked with the Business Development team to the overall business. Working here, I received an opportunity to broaden my knowledge to understand all the fields of work under RS GROUP’s Entertainmerce business model which is truly diverse.”</p>

<p><strong>Life @ RS</strong> is honored to have <strong>“Khun Jeeranun Roykrong,” Senior Manager, Warehouse &amp; Logistics, RS Mall</strong> and <strong>“Khun Sangdearn Poungsuwan,”</strong><strong> Officer General Management</strong>. They both represent employees to share experience under the concept <strong>“Grow with Career Path,”</strong> one of the pillars of <strong>RS GROUP’s RS Diversity.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Khun Jeeranun </strong>revealed about her career journey in RS GROUP: “At first, I started out as a receptionist 22 years ago. After that, I got an opportunity to supervise CD production, export and warehouse. Once the business was transformed, I have been transferred and responsible for RS Mall warehouse management until now.”</p>
<p>As for <strong>Khun Sangdearn</strong>, she began her work at RS as a receptionist. After only six months, the <strong>CEO</strong> provided her with a chance to take another role at the secretary team. This reflects that RS values equality and allows everyone to grow and advance their careers regardless of their previous work experiences. As of now, Khun Sangdearn has been working with RS for 10 years.</p>
<p>As RS has implemented the RS Diversity policy that embraces diversity, both agree with the policy and reinforce that everybody deserves rights to live as they wish. Diversity will further enrich the organization. The more diversity, the more creativity.</p>
<p>Years of service of both <strong>Khun Jeeranun</strong> and <strong>Khun Sangdearn</strong> have proved their love and attachment to the company. <p>Many people may still believe that sustainable development has little or no impact on their lives. However, sustainability is actually all around us. Accordingly, environmental prevention, local community support, and the diversity and equality policy have been one of <strong>RS Group</strong>’s top priorities in recent years.</p>
<p><strong>‘Kae-Rattapawee’</strong> <strong>and her role to communicate sustainability development related matters to investors and the general public</strong></p>
<p>“The general public may consider sustainable development as a complicated subject. That’s why I’m responsible as a connector between <strong>RS</strong> and stakeholders to share the stories of the company’s contributions to society, which includes supporting society, creating jobs, distributing income to local communities, and providing health, beauty, and safety to consumers through our products. At the same time, <strong>RS Group</strong>’s employees have contributed by sorting waste into categories in order to proceed with recycling. Moreover, we have adopted the Diversity Policy to provide equality to all employees. We’d like everyone to hear about all these actions and recognize that sustainability is a priority for RS Group both inside and outside the company.</p>
<p><strong>RS Group’s Future Sustainability Direction </strong></p>
<p>“In the past two years, we performed well in terms of social and environmental reservation. In the next steps, we will strive to reduce carbon emissions in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which includes net zero emissions of greenhouse gases, effective resource use, and reducing the effects of climate change.”</p>
<p><strong>With the dedication in the past few years, RS Group has been listed in the Thailand Sustainability Investment Index (THSI) for two consecutive years</strong></p>
<p>“To be listed in the THSI is one of the best awards someone working in the field of sustainable development could hope for. Each company listed in the index has been carefully selected by SET. We have been listed in the index for two consecutive years. That demonstrates that RS Group has been genuinely committed, improved the entire work system, and actually grew from within the organization.</p>
<p><strong>Necessary Skills for Pursuing Careers in Sustainable Development </strong></p>
<p>“Both hard skills and soft skills are crucial. It’s important to view every situation as an opportunity to improve and grow. As sustainability development is still a new concept, not only in the organization, but also in Thailand. It could be challenging for people to understand. However, if we keep an open mind, we will realize it’s not about spending money, but rather changing our behaviors.”</p>
<p>“I’d love to see everyone enjoy working despite the difficulties. I’d like to encourage everyone to see that all challenges are just like games. When you wake up in the morning, you feel motivated about what you will make happen today. Even though each task could be difficult, we can complete them one at a time and progressively get closer to our goal. However, completing tasks is not the same as achieving success,” ‘<strong>Kae-Rattapawee</strong><strong>’</strong> concluded.</p>

<p>RS Group organized Town Hall 2022 grandly as an act of appreciation for the employees’ hard work and proclaimed ‘Life Enriching’ as the brand purpose of the corporation. In this event, ‘Own, Fight, Learn &amp; Win Together’ was delivered to all employees as new core values to work together toward success. A new organizational culture was also announced to empower employees to drive the organization forward as planned. All employees were encouraged to ‘Think and Act like a professional owner’ (Entrepreneurship Mindset), value their duties, and be ready to combat challenges and obstacles promptly to make it feel like RS Group belongs to all of them. This agrees with the global trends that are rapidly changing and hardly predictable.</p>

<p>Speaking of a dream job, a reporter might pop up in many people’s minds. Have you ever wondered what is the first step if you wish to pursue this career?</p>
<p>Today, <strong>Life @ RS</strong> is honored by <strong>“Narupon Arjharn (Mon)</strong>”, Manager Reporter at <strong>Channel 8</strong>, a subsidiary of <strong>RS Group</strong>, who will share his 8-year journalistic experience at <strong>Channel 8</strong>.</p>
<p>The beginning of this dream job sparked in junior high school when <strong>Mon</strong> was often chosen to give a presentation in front of the class. He started to like the feeling of it and imagined what it would be like to become a reporter.</p>
<p>The picture in his dream became clearer when he was an intern at a TV station. <strong>Mon</strong>’s performance in this internship shone so brightly that senior reporters asked him to join their team. Unfortunately, his dream did not come true at the time because he had an obligation to military service. This cost him the opportunity to pursue his dream.</p>
<p>After completing military service, the pursuit of his dream began again. At <strong>Channel 8</strong>, his first responsibility was crime news. Today, however, news reporting has changed from covering different categories to focusing on current trends. So, <strong>Mon</strong> has to adapt to changes, stay alert, and keep track of the trend in this rapidly changing and highly competitive situation in terms of immediacy to serve the audience across the country.</p>
<p>Working as a field reporter is a challenging and risky task. It demands intense concentration to communicate and catch the points of news, to control the situation at the frontline, and to solve any problems that may arise.</p>
<p>In <strong>Mon</strong>’s view, journalists who will survive today are not geniuses but good at adapting, learning, always being prepared, and being willing to grab the opportunity when it comes.</p>
<p>For those who dream of becoming a reporter, <strong>Mon</strong> advised that they practice communication skills, grasp the points, stay focused on the issues being reported, and not get distracted. Also, they need to follow and analyze news to prepare themselves to shine among senior journalists.</p>
<p>In the end, <strong>Mon</strong> added that we all have the right to dream. Whatever that dream is, we must not burden others but prove that we can do it well.</p>

<p>As a person who loves cats and dogs and has experience in the pet business, <strong>Maysinee Wisitnorapatt  (May)</strong>, <strong>Marketing Pet Care Director, </strong>decided to work for <strong>Lifemate</strong>, a pet brand under RS Group. The brand originated from the love of our <strong>CEO – Surachai Chetchotisak</strong> for his dogs. Every team member of <strong>Lifemate</strong> also owns pets.</p>
<p>Since we consider pets as family members, we share the same goal: to deliver love through quality and healthy products. “<em>More importantly, we would like to engage the participation of everyone in <strong>RS</strong>. Our product presenters are selected from cats and dogs raised by <strong>RS Group</strong> employees</em>.” <strong>May </strong>shares with us the background of the products.</p>
<p>“<em>My duty at <strong>Lifemate </strong>is to do everything with my team. All Lifemate’s products are made from love for our pets. We want our pets to use high-quality products. The insight was collected from our CEO and staff. Ideas and other data were then analyzed. We have also worked on research with veterinarians with various fields of expertise to produce a product. The final stage is to try out the products with cats and dogs to ensure that the product is of greatest quality before introducing it to the market</em>.”</p>
<p><em>“Apart from the pride to produce the products for our beloved pets, being a part of <strong>RS Group</strong> allows me to learn many things. The company provides opportunities to try new things. Mistakes must be solved quickly and can be used as our lessons since employees at <strong>Lifemate </strong>share the same goal.”</em></p>
