<p><strong>RS recently unveiled its performance in 2019 with 363 million baht profit, soaring further despite slow economy, thanks to its agility, adaptability and continuous change to seek new channels to generate money, resulting in profitability and steady growth. Recently, the Board of RS has greenlighted a dividend payment at the rate of 0.10 baht per share with an XD (Exclude Dividend) sign posted on March 4, 2020. It has also presented its business plans for 2020, with a focus on Entertainmerce and releasing new innovative products, along with great partnerships to reach a New S-Curve. The company continues to seek new investment opportunities to grow further. This year, there will be major concerts throughout the year. The company is confident that it will reach yet another new high in 2020.&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p><strong>Wittawat Wetchabutsakorn</strong>, Chief Finance Officer of&nbsp; RS Public Company Limited, said, “In 2019, the company generated 3,611 million baht in total, with a 363 million baht profit, thanks to our commerce business which continued to do well, generating 2,012 million baht. In the fourth quarter of 2019, our commerce business, through RS Mall, saw 1.3 million new users, while attractive promotions were introduced throughout the year. Meanwhile, our media business generated 1,069 million baht, thanks to our ability to 100% manage the media outlets we have, to promote our products in our commerce business, resulting in a continuous growth. Our music and other businesses generated 529 million baht, and the revenue from concerts nearly doubled compared to 2018. This is thanks to two major concerts &#8211; Raptor and D2B. Overall, the company’s financial health is strong and ready for future growth. In the first quarter of this year, RS has announced a dividend payment at the rate of 0.10 baht per share to be paid on April 24, 2020. Combined with the interim dividend paid on September 12, 2019, the total dividend for 2019 is 0.30 baht per share.”</p>



<p><strong>Wittawat</strong> continued, “Earlier this year, the company announced an important strategy to go in full force into Entertainmerce.&nbsp; Our business continues to thrive despite the economy and we expect that we will reach yet another new high. We have seen a significant growth in the first quarter of this year thanks to our commerce business, which will create a New S-Curve thanks to new partnerships with two leaders in digital TV. Although the country’s economy is slow at the time, RS is flexible and agile, so it is able to spot new business opportunities to cater to senior consumers who have high purchasing power.&nbsp; We have more than 100 innovative products, and hero brands in this quarter are S.O.M. S Balance and S.O.M. Cordy Tibet &amp; Bhutan, as well as products created together with our partners in the festive season. We also have great promotions which have been well-received. This year, we will continue to achieve growth and seek new opportunities to invest in order to add value and generate profits for the company. For our media business, we have partnered with LINE to release stickers and call waiting melodies. We also have five major concerts planned throughout the year, and we’ve sold music and Channel 8 drama licenses to many partners. We expect that these will increase our revenue for the first quarter by 60-80 million baht. These new opportunities come from our asset and license management in order to maximize the use without additional costs, and we will continue to see the impact in the following quarters.”</p>

<p><strong>Pushing revenue to spike to 5.25 billion baht in 2020</strong></p>



<p><strong>RS creates yet another phenomenon by announcing four strategies, combining entertainment with commerce to drive its business with data while seeking new partners to expand its ecosystem and merging businesses. The aim is to achieve 5.25 billion baht revenue in 2020.&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p>The four key strategies are: 1. Entertainmerce: This is an important strategy continued from RS’s outstanding business model which connects all its strengths to drive the growth of its commerce from 2020 onward.&nbsp; 2. Data Driven Company: Data from entertainment customers, from its TV and radio audience to more than 100 million followers in its social media accounts is linked to RS’s commerce business, creating immense big data. The company identifies that this is a factor that can generate growth and future opportunities in offering new products and services to customers as well as other business areas. The company has invested in modern technologies and experienced teams to drive them.&nbsp; 3. Strategic Partnership: Business is all about combining one’s strength with other partners to create synergy, which will lead to more knowledge, development and resource sharing. Joining forces with partners is one of the company’s key strategies to generate growth and sustainability in 2020. 4. M&amp;A: In addition to growing sustainably in all businesses, merger and acquisition is also another important strategy to expand the company’s ecosystem rapidly in order to generate business value, competitiveness and long-term sustainability.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Surachai</strong> said, “The Company will grow significantly due to these strategies, with ecommerce generating the highest portion of revenue at 60% or 3,200 million baht in 2020, thanks to Entertainmerce, Data-Driven Company, Strategic Partnership and M&amp;A strategies as mentioned. Meanwhile, RS Mall will also continue to grow. We expect that in the future, our commerce business will contribute to 80% of our revenue, with gross profits and net profits at 50% and 15% respectively.”</p>

<p><strong>RS Mall highlights Entertainmerce to reach 3.2 billion baht revenue in 2020</strong></p>



<p>After testing the use of unused media space to sell products to its audience, from a revenue of 300 million baht four years ago, today, RS’s MPC (Multi Platform Commerce) business is ready to be rebranded as Virtual Mall to offer consumers more access via its TV channel Channel 8 and partner TV channels namely Thairath TV, Workpoint TV, and recently added Amarin TV, as well as online channels including websites, applications and social media. A wide array of products and services are offered to cater to consumers under the brand RS Mall with a slogan “Fulfill Happiness in Your Life”. The aim is to generate 3.2 billion baht revenue in 2020.</p>



<p>Thanks to modern technology, consumer behavior has changed rapidly. Shopping at traditional malls comes with traffic jams, so consumers do not want to go outside because it is time-consuming, and products are also limited. When they shop online, prices are competitive and there are many promotions, but customers risk receiving substandard products or low quality items. This is a gap in the market, so RS came up with a new way to sell in order to bridge this gap, resulting in Storytelling Commerce.</p>



<p>RS Mall was created with an aim to offer a new experience in buying products and services, offering more speed, convenience and reliability through inspiring storytelling to fulfil everyone’s life. Its target consumers are women from 30 years old up in Bangkok and other provinces nationwide. &nbsp;</p>



<p>RS Mall is a platform that offers various products and services in fashion and accessories, beauty, health, home items, and gadgets to meet all shopping needs, offering more convenience and safety, catering to digital lifestyle.&nbsp;</p>



<p>All products are verified and offer innovation and high quality, made using modern technology and award-winning innovation, presented in a way that illustrates the products’ strength by famous presenters, experts, and real users. The products are sold at special prices, with the convenience of home delivery and 24-hour call center.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Today, Entertainmerce this is an important strategy continued from RS’s outstanding business model which connects all its strengths to drive the growth of its commerce from 2020 onward. RS Mall has many channels including 1. TV channels such as Channel 8, Thairath TV, Workpoint TV, and Amarin TV, 2. Line Official account @rsmall, 3. E commerce website namely www.rsmall.co.th and RS Mall application as well as social media platforms.</p>



<p>At RS Entertainmerce Decoded, Pornpan Techarungchaikul, Chief Commercial Officer of RS Public Company Limited, said that the goal is to grow by more than 50% from 2019 through four key strategies namely 1. Products 2. Presentation 3. Marketing 4. Technology.&nbsp;</p>



<p>For products, the strategy is to add diversity in product categories and introduce seasonal items to excite the market, as well as exclusive products available only on RS mall, and brand collaboration.</p>



<p>For presentation, there will be live streaming, product demonstration, and interviews with real users.</p>



<p>For marketing, in addition to various campaigns throughout the year, there will also be loyalty programs and special privileges for more than a million RS Mall customers. &nbsp;</p>



<p>For technology, there will be new tools to centralize customer data to create a better experience. No matter through which channel they access RS Mall, there will be sufficient data to ensure the customer gets the best service. Another technology that will be introduced in order to improve customer service is customer engagement analytics to offer the best choices to customers, from services and touch points to payment and products. Another technology that the company will focus on this year is social listening on every earned media channel through our Social Listening Tool. This will help improve services and do brand health check in the first year of its operation. Another technology that is just as important is data analytics to process information and get insight for business in order to improve marketing and services, as well as new products and campaign analysis to check whether targets are met and how the campaign can be further improved.</p>

<p><strong>RS accelerates growth in full force with new management team to tackle Entertainmerce business, aiming to achieve a&nbsp;New S Curve for 2020 and reach 5.25 billion baht revenue.</strong></p>

<p><strong>RS has recently announced its vision for “entertainmerce” as one of its strategies to strengthen its business model, building on the success of its entertainment business and adding the storytelling ecommerce method to the mix, and now the company has adjusted its internal structure and appointed a new management team in every department. This is a major shake-up for the company, with an aim to strengthen its business and transform the company to become the leader in Thailand and a data-driven organization. RS will go all out this year and welcome new challenges to reach its goal in 2020.</strong></p>

<p>Talented executive <strong>Pornpan Techarungchaikul</strong> is appointed <strong>Chief Commercial Officer</strong>, overseeing the company’s commerce business in all aspects, including products, services, and other commercial innovations. Pornpan is experienced in RS’s business and is able to utilize the company’s strengths to develop new commerce opportunities. She is also a great leader who can lead her team to expand the business, thanks to her deep understanding of the company’s brands and corporate culture, having worked at RS for 16 years. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, <strong>Wittawat Wetchabutsakorn</strong> has taken the role as <strong>Chief Finance Officer</strong> to oversee the company’s significant growth. Wittawat has more than a decade’s experience in leading companies in banking and retailing such as Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited and Minor International Public Company Limited.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Kunchanya Karuhadej</strong> will take the position of <strong>Chief People Officer</strong>, taking care of the company’s strategies to manage its human resources and strengthen the corporate culture, in order to recruit and retail suitable and capable personnel for the company who can become future leaders for RS. Kunchanya has five years’ experience in human resources management at ecommerce company Lazada Thailand, and her most recent position was Human Resources Director. &nbsp;</p>



<p>To drive the company’s technology, <strong>Dr. Parin Fuangvut</strong> has been appointed <strong>Head of Technology</strong> to support the company’s aim to become a Data-Driven Organization. Dr. Parin has a wealth of experience in leading technology development in many organizations, and his most recent position was Head of Technology at BECi Corporation Limited. &nbsp;</p>



<p>For products and product innovations, <strong>Dr. Chakrit Pichyangkul</strong> has been appointed <strong>Head of Products and Services</strong>. He holds a doctoral degree in Innovation Management from Chulalongkorn University, and has been behind the success of LifeStar Limited under RS for the past 15 years.</p>



<p>For Telemarketing, which is another important contributor to the success of the entertainmerce model, <strong>Ekasit Kansuwiro, Director of Telemarketing </strong>will head the Telemarketing team, using his 10 years’ experience in telemarketing from True Corporation.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Another major growth factor of the entertainmerce model is Digital Commerce Platform, and RS has appointed <strong>Chot Chetchotisak</strong> as <strong>Head of Digital Commerce Platform</strong>, leading a team of young generation to create new channels for RS Mall.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>To take the entertainment business and to make a difference in the Storytelling Commerce Business Model, three executives will lead the change.</strong></p>



<p><strong>Nongluk Ngamroj</strong>, <strong>Head of Digital Television Business</strong>, will be responsible for the overview and operation of Channel 8 in news, dramas, variety shows and sports programs.</p>



<p><strong>Prinn Muensuksaeng</strong>, <strong>Head of Radio Business</strong>, has a lot of experience in radio business and played an important role in COOLfahrenheit radio station, which has remained the #1 station today, and he will look after the station both online and on air.</p>



<p><strong>Sukit Suksakulwat,</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Head of Music Business,</strong> has 17 years of experience in the music business with RS, and he understands the dynamic of the industry, including the structure and the transformation into entertainmerce.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The new management structure of RS Public Company Limited is effective from February 1, 2020 onward.</p>
